Your cremated remains will be handled according to your
written instructions or direction of your next-of-kin.
What can be done
with the cremated ashes?
Often they are buried in a cemetery, placed in a niche in
a columbarium at a cemetery, kept at home, or scattered
on private property.
At the time of
death, what is the cost for the cremation service?
The cost of cremation service is presently $1,295.00, plus
a $25.00 cremation permit fee. This can be pre-paid or
paid at the time services are provided. You may register
and pre-pay by mail using our Registration
Form available here on our website.
Is your price of
$1,295.00 for cremation service good for the entire state?
Cremation Services of Minneapolis/Saint Paul offers
services to central Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
There is, however, an additional transportation charge
outside of the metropolitan area of $2.00 per mile
one-way.
May I pre-pay the
services I desire?
Yes, and this is all you will ever pay. Any funds
pre-paid are placed, in accordance with Minnesota law,
into a trust account at a federally-insured institution
or a life insurance policy with Cremation Services of
Minneapolis/Saint Paul as a trustee/beneficiary. At the
time of death we retain the principal and interest earned
in exchange for your lifetime guarantee of
receiving these services.
